There is this adorable dog that is an internet celebrity because of his mop-like coat. His long, white, corded fur is fascinating. Aside from being an unusual looking dog, this canine has another claim to fame. He is THE Facebook dog.
This dog’s owner is Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook. As the dog of the owner of Facebook, this dog named Beast, of course, has his own Facebook page. Beast’s Facebook page has over 2.6 million followers.
Beast’s Facebook page has terrific content as expected as he is the dog of the owner of Facebook. There is a fabulous 360-degree video of him at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Beast also has a dancing dog video. His page also has a picture of him doing the trendy jump shot!
The rise to fame
This mop dog became an internet sensation when Mark and his wife, Priscilla Chan, announced that they were expecting a new baby girl. That post had the picture Mark with Priscilla showing her pregnant belly and that of the white mop dog. As the internet audience showered the couple with delighted comments, their adorable dog gained celebrity status.
Beast is a puli. This dog breed is easily identifiable as it is medium in size and has corded fur. Originating from Hungary, a puli is a herding dog.
Beast was born on Jan. 10, 2011 at Grant’s Pass. He was adopted by his Facebook family and currently resides at Palo Alto. This puli dog with a “rags to riches” life is considered as part of the Zuckerberg family. One of Beast’s role is as the gentle guardian of Mark and Priscilla’s little girl.
Beast climb to internet fame skyrocketed because his owner owns Facebook. This puli was able to maintain his celebrity status because he is a marvelous dog.
